Third Place!

July 25, 2011

Congratulations EC Radio on being voted Third Place in the Boston Globe’s reader’s poll! This is pretty exciting considering that we only rebooted the station about a year ago and that we were only beaten out by Emerson and Tufts which are both very well-established and large college stations.  Thanks again to everyone who helped out this year with all the shows, concerts, and events that we put on, you guys are what makes us special! We’ll be back on air with our totally new broadcasting system (which you can use through iTunes) in September once we get back, and we have some pretty exciting events planned in the first month so make sure to check back soon! Hey Corey,

Welcome back to EC Radio! The last thing I meant to do was offend you, what we should have said is that it had only been a year since the reboot. That was a dumb oversight and I’m just about to change it in the original post. Thank you for calling us out on it!

Also, please feel free to come back and visit if you get a chance! I think that you will be happy to see the station that you worked hard for is in pretty good shape, and the radio room is looking pretty great too. I would love to finally meet you at some point, I have heard great things about you!

Once again I apologize for the disrespectful oversight and I hope that you do not feel slighted as it was not the intent. Thank you!

      -Joe

A year ago??? I distinctly remember having an Emmanuel College Radio show in 2007 and 2008… I must be getting senile already.

That is true, what we meant was that it had been only a year since the reboot. I have changed the article to reflect this, I did not mean to offend anyone!
